About: The Salvation Army was founded in Canada in 1882, only fifteen years after Confederation. Just five years later, in 1887, the Salvation army opened it's doors to the Parry Sound community. From the beginning, the Army’s goal was simple – to provide spiritual and practical support to society’s most vulnerable. ​ Among various service innovations, The Salvation Army was instrumental in developing the first prisoner parole system and the first Juvenile Detention facility in Canada. The Salvation Army was also an early provider of shelter and service to women in crisis and served alongside the Canadian Armed Forces during the Great War and World War II. ​Sunday Services Join us every Sunday morning for our Worship service. The service is a relaxed, friendly and informal time of worship to God for all ages centered around the coming together of His family. All services are followed by a time of food and fellowship where we would love to get to know you better. Every Sunday Morning starting at 10:30am
